3 Outdoor Activities You Have To Do in Kleinburg This Fall!

Yes, it’s getting chillier outside, but there are still plenty of family-friendly outdoor activities to do in and around Kleinburg this fall! 

The McMichael Grounds

One of the most beautiful and scenic outdoor areas in Kleinburg is the McMichael Grounds, which features 100 acres of the Humber River Valley. Explore paths and hiking trails, take in the natural landscape, and browse the outdoor art. There’s a Sculpture Garden that is a must see, and don’t forget to check out the Tom Thomson Shack, an historic building where Thomson and other Canadian artists painted. Kreepy Kortright 

During the last week of October, you can get in the Halloween spirit at the Kortright Centre for Conservation. Kreepy Kortright will be on all week leading up to Halloween. The event will feature a haunted house, a frightening forest walk, live owls, a bonfire, scary stories and other activities for the whole family! Keep in mind this is an outdoor event, so dress warmly! If it gets cold, you can get cozy next to the bonfire. In order to attend, you must get your tickets in advance. Numbers are limited in order to ensure safe social distancing. 

Owl Prowl

The outdoor fun in Kleinburg doesn’t stop in October. At the beginning of November, join other avian enthusiasts at the Kortright Centre for the Owl Prowl! The evening begins with a presentation to teach you more about owls, and then you head off into the woods on a guided tour with an owl expert. To get a glimpse of an owl, you have to go out at night, so dress warmly and keep your eyes open! This event also requires tickets in advance, which you can purchase here.
