September Events in Vaughan that You Do Not Want to Miss!

We can’t believe it’s already September! It will be fall before we know it, but until then, there are still many summer events going down in Vaughan! 

Hope and Healing  

Hope and Healing is a temporary installation exhibit by Métis Encaustic sculptor, Tracy-Mae Chambers. Through her art, Chambers aims to encourage discussion about the future and remaining hopeful in turbulent times. 

For this event, she will use red string to create her temporary sculpture. It will be created, photographed and removed on the same day, so you only get one chance to see it live in person. While Chambers creates the sculpture, spectators are encouraged to discuss the work and photograph the process. 

Hope and Healing runs from 11am to 3pm on September 3. It is taking place at Black Creek Pioneer Village at 1000 Murray Ross Pkwy. It will be a great family event! 

ARTWALK Drive-In

This is the place to be this summer in Vaughan! ARTWALK is the city’s new art district, featuring a food market, a 30,000 square foot mural, and a drive-in series!

Every Thursday and Saturday through September, you can attend the ARTWALK drive-in movie for free! On September 4, they’re showing The Goonies, and there are tons of classics planned for the rest of the month, including Twister, The Princess Bride, and many more! 

The ARTWALK drive-in is located at 101 Edgeley Blvd. Don’t miss this great opportunity to enjoy a night out with your friends and family!
