You Have to Visit the Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens!

Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens

One of the most beautiful areas in Durham region is the Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens, and now that the fall colours are upon us, it is a must see!

The OVBG stretches along the Oshawa Creek from Adelaide Avenue to Gibb Street. It is a network of parks connected by the Creek and the Joseph Kolodzie Oshawa Creek Bike Path. Summer time is when the parks shine with a number of peony gardens, but the fall is also a perfect time of year to explore the parks and enjoy the changing leaves.

Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens

There are a total of 11 garden districts for you to explore, all showcasing some of the best natural environments that the Greater Toronto Area has to offer. You can explore on bike or by foot, and there’s so much to see that you can make it into several trips!

Depending on which part of the OVBG you visit, there’s a variety of facilities, including picnic tables, playgrounds, shading structures, and some amazing spots for wedding and event photography (permits required).
