The 4 Best Walking Trails in Shelburne!

The weather is finally starting to warm up for spring, and that means you’ll be able to spend way more time outdoors! With that in mind, we want to highlight a few of the best walking trails in Shelburne! 

Fiddle Park Loop

This is one of the most beautiful walking trails in Shelburne, and it’s great for walkers of all levels. If you’re a more experienced hiker, then you should definitely try out the complete 3.5km challenge! If you’re not exactly looking for a challenge, then the easier option is just as scenic and pleasant. The Fiddle Park Loop is only 7 minutes from Emerald Crossing’s location at Hurontario St. and Hwy 89! 

Summerhill Park Loop

This is the longest walking loop in Shelburne, it will take you all the way to downtown and eventually over the bridge at Walter’s Creek Park. The total length is 5.2km and it is considered a moderate difficulty. Make sure you bring plenty of water and snacks! 

Greenwood Park Loop 

This option is for the more casual walker; enjoy a leisurely stroll through the Shelburne Fair Ground and around Greenwood Park. This trail is 3.8km and considered an easy difficulty. If you’re feeling ambitious, you can always visit Greenwood Park after or before you do the Fiddle Park Loop, because they are nearly right next to each other! 

Simon Street Park Loop

This is another easier option, it’s relatively flat and only 3.2km. The Simon Street Park Loop will also take you through the historic downtown, and you get to visit a number of attractions, including the Dufferin County Rail Trail and two parks.
