The Town offers year-round programming, including many arts and culture events, like live performances at the Whitby Courthouse Theatre. The Whitby History Museum is also a great spot to learn about the town.
Something you should look into right now is the Whitby Farmers’ Market, which runs weekly from May to October, so the first one is right around the corner! You’ll love the wide selection of baked goods, artisan crafts, and fresh produce.
Downtown Brooklin
Located a short drive north of Whitby Meadows, Downtown Brooklin is home to several shops, restaurants, spas, and other local businesses.
Brooklin definitely has more of a village vibe and the whole downtown is designated a heritage conservation district. Like Downtown Whitby, you’ll appreciate the historic architecture and friendly atmosphere.
Something to keep your eye out for is the Brooklin Spring Fair, which will be held in the beginning of June. The event features all types of fun activities, including a parade, a demolition derby, races, a pie eating contest, several local vendors for shopping, and much more!
